Sustainable Cross-Linking of Man-Made Cellulosic Fibers with Poly(carboxylic acids) for Fibrillation Control

چکیده
Lyocell-type fibers often exhibit a high tendency to fibrillate under wet abrasion conditions, and fibrillation must be diminished for better quality of the textile product. In this study, we propose green route cross-linking regenerated cellulose using citric acid (CA) 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic (BTCA) prevent from fibrillation. We investigated influence process conditions additives on fiber properties. The cross-linked highly depended concentration cross-linker solution, curing temperature, time. BTCA showed performance in comparison CA. CA also suffer yellowing issues due formation unsaturated side products during curing. Thus, glycerol xylitol were added avoid reaction that led compound. Washing fastness tests confirmed has stability when is 100 g/L are cured at 180 °C 5 min. disadvantage was relatively low mechanical performance. study demonstrated adding softener solution enhanced properties able reduce temperature without deteriorating index fibers.

The urban development process displays regressive tacit-dominant knowledge areas and their tacit level would impede their movements during multi-level knowledge transfers among stakeholders. The accuracy of a knowledge may be distorted when recipient stakeholders fail to understand a specific knowledge for its purpose. Earlier studies by the authors had highlighted complex yet dynamic environme...

In vitro solubility testing is an important means of assessing the likely behavior of fibers that are respired and accumulate in the lung. The problem has been that such tests often do not mirror the dissolution and removal mechanisms seen in vivo. Comparison of iron and silica solubility values of various types of mineral fiber showed no obvious correlation. Treating a mineral fiber containing...

Man-made mineral fibers are produced using inorganic materials and are widely used as thermal and acoustic insulation. These basically include continuous fiberglass filaments, glass wool (fiberglass insulation), stone wool, slag wool and refractory ceramic fibers. Likewise, in the last two decades nanoscale fibers have also been developed, among these being carbon nanotubes with their high elec...
